Dial Up Networking Installation for Ricochet Service on Windows 98

Dial Up Networking Installation Procedure:

Double Click on 'My Computer' from the desktop, then double click on the Dial Up Networking folder.
In Dial Up Networking double click on the 'Make New Connection Icon'
Double click on Make New Connection. This will open The New Connection Wizard as seen below.
You should make all setting just as they are seen in the screen shots.
Make sure you select your Ricochet modem in 'Select a Device'
Click NEXT.
Type 3333 in the Telephone number. Then hit the next button.
Click finish. This will clear the screen and take you back to Dial Up Networking.
Find the connection that you just created and hit your right mouse button on the icon and click 'Properties'
You will see this:
Under the General tab uncheck the Use area code and Dialing Properties
Then click on Configure and the Connection tab setup the screen as below:
Ensure that the Wait for dial tone before dialing is unchecked, and then click okay.
Click on the 'Server Types' tab. Under 'Type of Dial-Up Server', 'PPP: Internet, Windows NT Server, Window 98' should be selected.
Only "Enable software compression" and "TCP/IP" needs to be checked on this page.
Click okay and you will return to the "Dial up Networking" window.
Double click the new connection you made and this window will come up:
Type in your User name and password. You can click on Save Password if you don't want to enter it in every time you go to connect. Then click Connect.
If you like you can create a shortcut on you desktop for this connection by dragging the icon to the desktop.

That's it! You're done with all the settings and can start using your Wireless Ricochet Service!
