** DISABLE ANY ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE BEFORE INSTALLING ** Disconnect from the Internet and close the EnterNet 100 software if open Remove the NTS EnterNet 100 folder from the hard drive and any alias's for it that may be on the desktop Remove the following files, (not all may exist) from the Hard Drive/System/Preferences folder: PPP AutoDetectDB PPP Preferences PPP Menu Preferences TCP/IP Preferences Empty the trash and reboot While it's rebooting, have the customer hold down the Option and Apple keys at the same time, this will rebuild the desktop. Insert the MindSpring Max CD and navigate to the PPPoE folder. Double-click the EnterNet 100 icon After installation has completed, reboot when prompted. Click the Apple menu, go to Control Panels, open TCP/IP and set the following: Connect via: EnterNet Configure: Using PPP Server Name Server Addresses: 207.69.188.185 207.69.188.186 207.69.188.187 Additional Search Domains: mindspring.com Now highlight Edit at the top of the screen and select User Mode. This option should be set to Advanced. Now there will be an Options button in the lower right corner of the TCP/IP window, click this button. Make sure TCP/IP is set to Active, and that the "Load only when needed" option is NOT checked. Close TCP/IP and save changes when prompted Open the EnterNet 100 software (should have a new alias on desktop) At the top of the dialog box, it should have Connect via Ethernet. (If it doesn't say Ethernet, then open Chooser and make AppleTalk active and set to Ethernet) Enter the user name and password Click Connect, and click Save when prompted. Note: Hold down the Option key while clicking Connect to create a detailed connection log. (requires v1.09)
