How To Trash Files Due To MACPoet Error ID 6

If customer is in Northern CA, they need to download the newest MacPoET

1. ) close all windows, go back to the desktop
2. ) from Desktop open Hard disk icon,
3. ) then open the System folder,
4. ) find mactcpdnr and drag it to the trash
5. ) while in the System folder, open the Preferences folder
6. ) find TCP/IP preferences and drag it to the trash
7. ) find AppleTalk Preferences and drag it to the trash
8. ) close the window
9. ) empty the trash
10. ) Go to --> Apple Menu --> Control Panel --> TCP/IP

11. ) Connect Via = Ethernet
12. ) Configure = Manually
13. ) IP Address = 192.0.0.1
14. ) Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
15. ) Router Address = 192.0.0.2
16. ) Name Server Address = 207.217.77.82 press RETURN (carriage return), type 207.217.120.83
17. ) Search Domain = earthlink.net
18. ) all of the other fields in TCP/IP can be left blank
19. ) close the window and save changes when prompted

20. ) power cycle the DSL Modem (Turn modem off for about 10 seconds, then turn the modem back on.) Reboot the computer.
21. ) rebuild the desktop

            Hold command + option while the computer boots
22. ) Go to --> Apple Menu --> Control Panel --> AppleTalk
23. ) make sure AppleTalk is set as Ethernet
24. ) Go to --> Apple Menu --> Control Panel --> Memory
25. ) make sure Virtual Memory is ON (it can cause connection issues if it is set as OFF)
26. ) close all windows, go back to the desktop
27. ) open MACPoet
28. ) make sure user name / password is typed in (ELN/username@earthlink.net)
29. ) "connect at startup" checkbox is unchecked in MACPoet
30. ) try connecting
