| 621 | can not open the phone book file. | This is found under windows NT (Workstation or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting and configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY. |
| 622 | can not load the phone book file. | This is found under windows NT (Workstation or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting and configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY. |
| 623 | can not find the phone book entry. | This is found under windows NT (Workstation or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting and configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY. |
| 624 | can not write the phone book file. | This is found under windows NT (Workstation or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting and configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY. |
| 625 | invalid information found in the phone book. | This is found under windows NT (Workstations or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting and configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY. |
| 629 | the port was disconnected by the remote machine. | The anything error. make sure install date has passed. make sure account is active. check the hardware connections, and filters. uninstall / reinstall "communications", network components, *.386 files. make sure NIC is working. Otherwise there is an issue on the Phone Company side, so ask your lead if you can send a Trouble Ticket. |
| 630 | the port was disconnected due to hardware failure. | A user will get this error if they try to connect before winPPPoverEthernet.exe is fully loaded. Wait a moment and try again. Or winPPPoverEthernet.exe could not be running. |
| 631 | the port was disconnected by the user. | The user clicked CANCEL. |
| 633 | the port is already in use or is not configured for Remote Access dial out. | In

| 633 | can not register your computer on the remote network. | Typically an ISP side issue, or an incorrect user name and/or password. |
| 645 | internal authentication error. | Typically the user has not appended their user name with the correct AC-specified context. Also could be due to not having any Dial Up Adapters installed. |
| 646 | the account is not permitted to log on at this time of day. | The user's account is time restricted. |
| 647 | the account is disabled. | The user's account is disabled. |
| 648 | the password has expired. | The user's password is expired. |
| 649 | the account does not have Remote Access permission. | This would probably also be an incorrect user name and/or password. |
| 651 | your modem (or other connection device) has reported an error. | The user possibly incorrectly installed winPoET or removed the PoET Adapter (in win9x). |
| 652 | unrecognized response from the device. | The user possibly incorrectly installed winPoET or removed the PoET Adapter (in win9x). |
| 665 | the port is not configured for Remote Access. | This is found under windows NT (Workstation or Sever). The solution is to go into the RAS setting sand configure the PoET Adapters for DIAL OUT ONLY, as well as the TCP/IP protocol only. |
| 691 | access denied because user name and/or password is invalid on the domain. | The entered user name or password is not valid. |
| 692 | hardware failure in port or attached device. | A user will get this error if they try to connect before winPPPoverEthernet.exe is fully loaded. Wait a moment and try again. Another possibility is that winPPPoverEthernet.exe is not loaded. Under windows NT, the user could have reinstalled winPoET without removing the previous installation's adapters. |
| 708 | the account has expired. | The user's account has expired. |
| 711 | RasMan initialization failure. Check the event log. | A windows NT error. The user should re-apply the Service Pack. |
| 718 | PPP timeout. | This could be either an incorrect user name and/or password or a problem with the physical connection. |
| 719 | PPP terminated by remote machine. | This is not usually a very telling error. It does, however, indicate that a valid connection is present. |
| 720 | no PPP control protocols configured. | Actually usually an ISP side error. We have seen this problem but did not investigate what was happening at the AC side. |
| 721 | remote PPP peer is not responding. | wrong user name / password. Also could be due to lack of valid connection. |
| 734 | the PPP link control protocol has been terminated. | Under window NT, NetBIOS is not installed. |
| 735 | the requested address was rejected by the server. | The user attempted to put an IP address in the phone book entry. |
| 739 | the remote server can not use the windows NT encrypted password. | The user has selected an NT encrypted password in the phone book entry. This box should be unchecked. |
| 751 | Error occurred during dialing. Error code = 751. Extended error code = 0. | Both Dial Up Adapters are already in use by other connections. |
| 752 | Error occurred during dialing. Error code = 752. Extended error code = 0. | The TCP/IP bindings have been removed from the Ethernet card but the user did not reboot the computer. |
