Change the IP to the IP you would use to fix a tap driver error
10.0.0.140 for alcatels and the 5660/5260
192.168.1.2 for the zyxcel
192.168.254.253 for the flowpoint 2100
Change the subnet to 255.255.255.0
Close this window and click on save
Insert the Mindspring Max CD
Double Click on the MindSpring 4.01 CD
Double Click on the MindSpring Software Depot
Double Click on the OT Tool 1.0 folder
Double Click on OTTool 1.0
Type in the IP of the router in the field that originally had "www.neon.com"

A bad ping looks like this:
If the ping is good then the line is bad. Set TCP/IP back to connect via
to "EnterNet" and configure to "Using PPP Server"; then
contact the ISP to further trouble shoot the line.
If the ping is bad:
Try switching out the cable and ping again
If you still can't ping switch out the router (if another router is
available) and ping again
If you still can't ping then it's time to nuke
