What You Need To Get Started: 1. A computer loaded with
the Windows 98 operating system. 2. Port: Universal Serial Bus
(USB). 3. A Ricochet wireless
modem with Internet access. Get
the Windows 98 Ricochet USB Driver file: 1. Make a directory in
the root called 98driver. This is easily done by double clicking on My
Computer then the C: Drive then Click on File>New>Folder and name it
98driver. 2. Download the driver
called 98driver from http://www.wwc.com/techsupport/98driver.exe
and place it in the 98driver directory that you just created. 3. Double Click
Start>Run and type in c:\98driver\98driver.exe (excluding the ). After
that is complete close all windows that are open. Driver
Installation: Plug the USB cable into the
Ricochet Modem and then into the USB port on the PC and then turn the Modem
on. Then a screen should come up that
looks like this: Click on Next and you will
see this: Click on the second button to Display
a list of all the drivers. Then, click Next and this screen will
come up: When you see the above screen
click the Have Disk button and you will see this: In the Copy manufacturer's
files from: Type in the location of the directory where we downloaded the
driver file, in most cases it will be C:\98driver if you followed the
Steps 1-3 above. Click OK and you will see: Click Next and the next
screen will appear: Click Next Click Finish and the
computer will now start the process to detect the Ricochet USB Modem: Click Next Make sure the Search for best
driver is selected and click Next Only Specify a location:
Needs to be checked and type location of the driver in the box normally C:\98driver
and Click Next Click Next and you will
see: Click Finish You are now finished with the
driver Installation. Click here
for instructions on setting up a Dial-Up Networking Connection to
